Category overview

For brands helping Australians make informed, confident wellbeing choices.

Wellness and wellbeing is a broad and fast-growing area covering products, services, education and support that can influence everyday balance, resilience, self-care, recovery and quality of life.

The AHWA Wellness & Wellbeing category is designed for Australian-based businesses and organisations that communicate clearly, present claims responsibly and place consumer trust at the centre of their work.

What we look for

Strong entries make trust easy for consumers to understand.

AHWA recognition is not based on presentation alone. Entries are considered against the same published principles that sit across the awards program.

01

Transparency

Clear consumer information, accessible instructions, responsible pricing communication and honest explanation of product or service purpose.

02

Responsibility

Careful marketing, responsible claims and a clear distinction between general wellbeing support and medical or therapeutic claims.

03

Consumer relevance

Practical usefulness for Australian consumers, with an experience that is easy to understand, navigate and engage with.

04

Usability

Thoughtful design, accessible communication, clear onboarding, helpful customer support and practical product or service information.

05

Sustainability

Where relevant, responsible sourcing, packaging decisions, lower-impact practices or long-term value that can be explained clearly.

06

Evidence and support

Helpful supporting information such as website links, product details, documentation, customer education or publicly available materials.

Important distinction

Recognition is not the same as medical approval or certification.

The Australian Health & Wellness Awards is an independent recognition program. It is not a regulator, certification scheme, medical authority or source of medical advice.

Recognition reflects assessment against AHWA’s published criteria for the relevant award year. It does not confirm therapeutic effectiveness, regulatory approval or suitability for any individual health condition.
